Maps on the projector, fog with one click, soundtrack under control, campaign notes close at hand - locally on your machine. No account, no cloud, no server setup. Just your table and tools that stay in the background.

A night at the table
You control everything on your laptop. On the second screen - TV or projector - players only see what they should see. No shared login, no waiting, no loading moment in the middle of play.

Three moves
Open the player window on TV or projector, pull back fog when the party enters a room, and keep sight lines and grid tools to yourself. No player sees more than they should.

Music, ambience, and combat run as separate layers. Switch into combat mode, fade in rain, fire a quick sound effect from the soundboard - without falling out of the scene.
Notes, NPCs, sessions, handouts, and open threads are linked together. What only you should see stays secret; what the table needs is ready immediately.

Maps, tokens, fog, initiative, audio, and campaign knowledge in one desktop app - built for control at the real table. The individual apps are usable today; RollBerry brings them together step by step.
Why the real table
Because things happen at a real table that no video call captures. The small grin before someone says a foolish idea. The shared breath while the die is still rolling. The hand reaching for chips while the party quietly makes a plan.
Online play loses a lot of that. The connection stutters at the wrong moment, everyone talks over each other or not at all, and in the end you stare at tiles in a browser. It works, but it rarely feels like that one night people still talk about weeks later.
That night matters to me. That is why the tech should support it, not replace it: map on the projector, fog with a click, the right track for the right scene - and then the tool fades into the background. No login, no cloud, no "who cannot hear me?". Just you, the table, and the story.
That is exactly what RollBerry is made for. Local, because your table belongs to you - not to a server.
Local-first, meant honestly
No login, no password, no registration. Download the app and start.
Maps, sound, notes, and campaign data live on your machine - not on someone else's server.
No Wi-Fi in the basement? Fine. No server can go down. The session keeps running.
You decide what appears on the projector, what stays secret, and when it ends.

FAQ
No. RollBerry apps run locally on your machine. No login, no subscription, no payment requirement. Download and start.
For the real table. RollBerry assumes you are in the same room: you control the laptop, players see the second screen. It does not replace an online VTT platform - it does not want to.
Because the real table carries what makes the hobby special: reading faces, laughing together, hearing dice roll. Online loses much of that - connections stutter, people talk over each other, and everyone stares at tiles. RollBerry keeps the table in focus and the tech in the background. Local also means no server outage, no account, no cloud - your campaign belongs to you.
Find the right tool for your next game night in 30 seconds. Free, local, no account.
The problem
Three steps at the table
Drop in an image, set the grid, confirm scale. Your map is ready in seconds.
Reveal rooms as the party enters. Trigger blackout when the moment needs tension.
Each room can be visible, hinted, or hidden individually.
Square, hex, or off - color, contrast, and measurements are flexible.
Pan, measure, blackout, and player window are always close at hand.
What you can do with it
Dedicated player window for the second screen, mit sauberer Vollbild-Ansicht ohne GM-tools.
Reveal fog of war room by room, trigger blackout surprises, all with one click.
Measure distance, choose grid type and color, and optionally send measurements to players.
Directly from the RollBerry webspace. No account.
Common image formats. Drop in your battlemap, set grid and scale - done.
Only what you reveal. The player window shows revealed areas; hidden rooms stay hidden until you open them.
No. MapBerry runs locally. Maps and settings stay on your machine.

The problem
Music in one tab, ambience in another, the combat track somewhere between - and the wrong one plays at the crucial moment. BardBerry combines music, ambience, and combat in one cockpit you can use without thinking.

Three steps at the table
Recall saved soundscapes with one click - tavern, forest, siege.
Music, ambience, and combat run separately - balance each layer while keeping the master in view.

The problem
Campaign knowledge gets scattered across note apps, paper sheets, and chat logs. QuestBerry keeps notes, NPCs, sessions, handouts, and open threads linked in one place - secret for you, ready at the table.

Three steps at the table

Capture an NPC, place, or idea mid-session without losing the thread.
NPCs, places, and sessions reference each other - backlinks show what belongs together.
Session overview, open threads, and GM-only secrets are at hand in seconds.
Secret, table-ready, or active - you decide who knows what.
Each entry shows where else it appears.
Ongoing threads stay visible until they are resolved.

What you can do with it
Session overview with what matters for the current game - table-ready and GM-only.
Characters, places, and handouts with tags, categories, and secrets.
A canvas shows how NPCs, places, and threads connect.
Note · QuestBerry is an early build - the feature set is growing continuously.

Du steuerst die Visibility pro Eintrag. „Nur SL"-Inhalte bleiben geheim; tischbereite Infos kannst du gezielt zeigen.
QuestBerry uses Markdown-friendly notes. Import and export features will grow with future builds - see the roadmap.
Locally on your machine. No account, no cloud - the campaign belongs to you.

The vision
Maps, tokens, fog, initiative, audio, and campaign knowledge together in one desktop app. RollBerry unites what MapBerry, BardBerry, and QuestBerry already do individually - built for control at the real table, without cloud dependency.
Everything in one window
Run combat directly on the map: place tokens, track order, keep conditions visible.
A clean player view for the second screen - like MapBerry, only integrated.
Notes, NPCs, and handouts in the same window as map and combat.
The path there
You do not have to wait for RollBerry. MapBerry, BardBerry, and QuestBerry already cover maps, sound, and campaign work. RollBerry brings them into one window step by step.

Mir ist dieser Abend wichtig. That night matters to me.
About RollBerry
There are great online VTTs, but they are built for online play. At a real table you do not want to set up a platform, log players in, or maintain a server. RollBerry fills that gap: digital support that stays in the background.
Your campaign is valuable. It does not belong in a third-party cloud that can change prices or shut down tomorrow. Everything runs locally on your machine - no account, no dependency, no data ending up somewhere you do not control.
The best part of the hobby is the moment everyone sits at the same table. RollBerry does not want to replace that moment; it protects it. The tech serves the night, not the other way around.
Priority goes to what is actually needed at the table. Features come from real play and feedback, not from a list that wants to be as long as possible. As a solo/indie project, that means honest beta states, visible progress, and open communication about what does not work yet.
Apps in the ecosystem
local & account-free
forced cloud
Bugs, wishes, table experiences - everything flows directly into the next builds. Instagram or email are the easiest routes.
Trust & downloads
Local-first means responsibility. This page explains what beta means here, why apps are not signed yet, and what definitely never leaves your machine.
{{ t.release_trust_eyebrow }}
{{ t.release_trust_body }}
Code-signing certificates for Windows and macOS cost recurring money. For an indie project in beta, this is a deliberate intermediate step. Your system may show a warning on first launch. That is expected, not a defect. Signed builds are on the roadmap.
The apps are usable at the table, but still in active development. Expect rough edges and changes between versions. Back up important data as usual. In return, your feedback flows straight into the next build.
No account, no campaign tracking, no automatic cloud backup. There is no RollBerry server storing your game data. What you do not share yourself stays with you.
To verify · Exact dialog labels may vary by operating system version.
The desktop apps work locally. They do not need an account and do not send your game data to us. What you create in MapBerry, BardBerry, or QuestBerry stays on your device.
The website and browser tools run in the browser; the usual privacy notice applies. The full privacy policy is linked - this section only summarizes it plainly.
Contact & feedback
Bugs, wishes, and experiences from real sessions are all welcome and feed directly into upcoming builds. Choose the route that feels easiest.
