MapBerry v0.1.12
MapBerry
A local map app for game masters who need maps, grids, fog of war and a player window without opening a full virtual tabletop suite.
Download
Current desktop version for Windows, macOS and Linux.
Windows is the direct standard download. For macOS, choose the DMG that matches your Mac chip; for Linux, AppImage and Debian package are available. The files come directly from the official RollBerry webspace MapBerry v0.1.12.
New in v0.1.12
A small release for more robust map operation.
MapBerry v0.1.12 keeps the download base current and builds on the latest stability work around rooms, fog of war and player-window sync.
Hardened release base
Updated build and release dependencies for more reliable desktop artifacts.
Room fog stays protected
Room fog actions stay consistent when map areas and fog states are edited in parallel.
Player window focus
Live synchronization for second displays remains a core part of the app communication.
Focused map workflow
The map workflow from RollBerry as a lighter tool.
MapBerry is for analog, hybrid and screen-supported tables: import a map, align the grid, prepare fog and send the player view to a TV, projector or second monitor.
GM window
Prepare maps, rooms, walls, notes and overlays in a local desktop workspace.
Player window
Show a synchronized map view for the table, stream or second screen including blackout and frame controls.
Live overlays
Show text, images, alerts and timers in the player view without exposing GM-only preparation.
Table setup
Grid, fog, rooms and the player frame stay close at hand.
MapBerry keeps the core table controls visible without turning the app into a full campaign database.
- Import image maps and align square or hex grids.
- Reveal or hide areas with fog of war and room tools.
- Move, scale and rotate the player frame from the GM view.

Feature screenshots

The gallery separates the most important MapBerry work areas so the individual table features stay easy to read.

Standalone
MapBerry does not replace RollBerry; it keeps it focused.
Use RollBerry when you need token management, wiki, characters, initiative and campaign data. Use MapBerry when you only need a strong map surface.
First-launch help
Why does my system report an unknown app?
MapBerry is open source, but the release files are not signed with a commercial developer certificate yet. The warning does not automatically mean the app is broken.
macOS blocks launch
Open the app the first time with right click and Open. System Settings -> Privacy & Security can also allow MapBerry.
Windows SmartScreen appears
Choose More info and then Run anyway if you downloaded the file directly from the official release.
